How do I... Make An Appointment?

Appointments may be made by telephoning 08444 778614 (this number will remain open 24 hours for patients to contact) or by calling at the surgery during opening hours. Routine appointments may be made well in advance (maximum two weeks), which will enable us to offer you an appointment at a time more suitable for your requirements. If you cannot keep an appointment, please inform us as soon as possible as this will assist in over-subscribed situations. Patients can request to see a preferred doctor by stating preference during calling or on booking an appointment at reception.
All routine surgery consultations are done by appointments. However, urgent cases will be seen at any time without appointments.

Be On Time

Please arrive promptly and remember to cancel your appointment if you can no longer keep it; someone else may need to see the doctor urgently.

Not Visited The Doctor For A While?

If you are making an appointment to see you doctor and it is some time since your last consultation, or a visit to one of our clinics, please tell us. If you are aged 16-75 years of age and it is 12 months since you last had a consultation, please bring this to the attention of the receptionist who can then inform the doctor. The doctor may ask you some additional questions, so that your medical records can be kept up to date and this might take a little longer than a normal appointment.

How do I... Obtain Home Visits/Advice Call

Patients are requested to telephone 08444 778614 (Monday to Friday) 9.00 - 10.30am if a visit is required that day. Emergency visits only will be arranged after that time. Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to house calls. Please remember that several patients can be seen in the time it takes to do a home visit. Patients should note that more detailed examinations could be carried out by visiting the surgery rather than at their homes.

How do I... Obtain Test Results?

Test results and letters from local hospitals have to be checked by the doctor. Therefore please telephone for results in the afternoon. Please ring the surgery between 3.00 and 4.00pm for your results. Some tests take longer than others. Your doctor should be able to give you an idea of how long you are likely to wait.
